You’ve probably have seen your hairdresser use this at the salon. Moroccan Argan Oil is extracted from the nuts of the Argania Spinosa tree by squashing it into a puree to be cold-pressed. One of the most notable qualities of this extract is its heavy amount of Vitamin E, making it a natural power source for your hair, skin, and nails. Its wide range of fatty acids such as oleic and stearic acid, adds further benefits when applied. These components help make Moroccan Argan Oil a highly coveted ingredient in the haircare and skincare community. Today, we’re going to take a look at Moroccan Argan Oil, its history, uses, benefits and more. Let’s have a look!

    What Is A Carrier Extract?

A carrier extract is produced from the nuts and seeds inside plants which are used as the base for a variety of aromatherapy and beauty recipes. Unlike essential extracts, carriers are highly adaptable meaning they can be used by themselves or paired with other ingredients. Examples of carriers include coconut, grapeseed, and of course, Moroccan argan oil. Without a carrier, the essential extract could not be used at all when alone as it is highly potent to topically apply. It is for this reason and more, carrier extracts are perfect to use as a pairing ingredient in a range of different products in aromatherapy and beauty.

As a result of its highly neutral aroma, carriers are the ideal choice to partner up with essential extracts with more potent fragrances. With Moroccan argan oil, it carries a lot of benefits including its essential ingredients such as Vitamin A and C, making it perfect to rejuvenate hair and skin. In the next section, we’re going to dive into Moroccan argan oil’s profile and origin story.

    What Is Moroccan Argan Oil?

Moroccan Argan Oil is created from kernels found in the Argania tree spanning from the south coast of the country. Known as the holy grail of hair care, this extract can be found as an ingredient in a variety of hair products such as conditioners, hair serums, and shampoos. In addition to its hair rejuvenating qualities, Moroccan Argan Oil can be used for enhancing nails and skin. It has been used for years upon years as a beauty staple for women’s self-care regime.

The Argania tree was discovered centuries before in Berber and found themselves shocked at the variety of beauty benefits it has in its back belt. Before, the extract was found after goats would venture up the trees to eat the nuts and were collected as goat droppings. By collecting the fruit and eliminating the pulp, the nuts were then dried out in the sun. These days, you don’t have to rely on goats to extract the nut but it is still manually cracked by hand as it can easily go wrong when using machinery. With a lot of patience, hours are spent extracting the source from the nut. Because of all the hard work involved, you can see why Moroccan Argan Oil is a highly popular option for hair products. In the next few sections below, we’re going to be devising the list of benefits and recipes to help you see how you can use the product.
